KUCCH KARO- WHY WRITING A BLOG ?

I am an ordinary citizen of india, staying in Amritsar, Punjab, India. I am writing this blog for myself and for the people who share the same sentiments for my great country, India. I never thought of writing a blog, initially. But when i read a few blogs, i came to the conclusion that writing a blog is very important for reaching people and sharing my views about the political turmoil we are going through. I used to discuss political situation with my friends and my rotary club, of whom i have been the president in the year 2003-04. I noticed that most of the people i talked about the political conditions prevailing in our country, were least interested. They were interested to discuss their own problems, which every one of us faces every day. But what about our country india ? Nobody was interested. Then i thought of writing a blog, thinking, there must be few people on the net, who have the same feelings.
For many years, we all have been silent spectators watching tv, reading newspapers and magazines, on whats going on in the country. We mostly are people who discuss politics in our drawing rooms and blame politicians for the situation our country is in. But what to we do for that ? Nothing. After having a drink or two, we all go back to our houses and sleep. Next day morning, we all are away to our respective works, trying to make our ends meet to give best to our family. We are busy the whole day long in our work and remain dumb, when we hear the news on tv, that there have been bomb blasts in some city or the other. We discuss bomb blasts for a few minutes, and then again go back to our work, forgetting everything about the bomb blasts.

Have we become impotent or deaf ? We are not bothered where are country is heading to ? We just say " ye to sab chalta rehta hai "

wow gr8 effort by you on writing this kind of blog.i am not appreciating this coz i am obligated to do so but genuinely its a gr8 effort by a pertson who has taken out time to do something like this. i agree that all of us are so invoved in our respective lives to bother about such major issues involving our country.i as a layman would also not bother about such issues & just say "yeh to sab chalta hai" & forget about it . but with this kind of attitude of every indian i dont think we will reach anywhere....
so i must congratulate you for making a tremendour effort in awakening people around you to do something

Our small time neighbours of failed states are sending their terror forces while we laugh on their stale & obnoxious jokes in laughter shows. Our ministers smell conspiracy even in in the killing of police officials in Mumbai? Will they Kuchh Karo or Khush Karo for vote banking?

You may see the following letter in some newspapers written in sheer anguish.

OPTIONLESSNESS

Sir,

Political statements that we have all the options open sound really hollow-if past be any guide. If we did not react earlier when the symbol of our nationhood –the Indian parliament was attacked & even fought the back stabbing at Kargil –with our hands tied at the back- there is no chance whatsoever of doing it now. While Pakistan has been galvanized into togetherness with the war hysteria, here our high & mighty in the government are seeing conspiracy theory behind the sacrifice of our police force? There is no use moving the troops to the borders if they have to be pulled out after keeping them on tenterhooks for a year. This would be even more demoralizing than done by successive third rate pay commissions. Even war would be quite futile if we have to release their one lakh POW’s after glib talk at Simla- without getting any thing in return? While our neighbours have been sending their terror forces to bleed us out from thousand cuts & pumping counterfeit currency to shatter our economy at regular intervals-we have been regaling & jumping on our seats by the stale jokes recounted by their artists & singers? We needs to show some sense of self-respect by calling off all cultural exchanges/cricket matches, canceling train & bus services on permanent basis, reducing the staff in the high commissions & having no relationship with such nations.
