Dear Vaneet,

Great facts revealed! Kudos to your niece, Minna( Ritu Juneja)for consolidating and putting them together. As she says, it's only the tip of the ice-berg, there are many more such laudable achievements of the Indians. It is really a matter of great pride for all citizens. Un-ambiguous and clearly defined goal setting, perfect planning and organising resources, dedicated efforts in implementation with close monitoring and review of resources and effort, total commitment to the cause, faith and belief in the self and the almighty and persistent fire in the belly to achieve the goal will definitely achieve even an impossible task, generally percieved to be. Can such a goal for restoring the social, cultural, moral and human values that this great and highly blessed country, by over 360 million Gods, had had centuries ago, but seems to be depleting by the day, be made with firm resolve and worked on? That would make us all much more proud to be an Indian.

I am not sure how old your niece is, but i foresee a follower in your path and i am reminded of the saying, "Honhar Birwan Ke Hoat Chikane path"

It is appreciable to see this post. It is making rounds in the mails. But one thing many fail to notice. We may be proud to be Indians and be very patriotic and feel elated when we know other Indians are at the helm of some organization. This post too is the same. But if you notice, not one of the people whose names are in the quiz are working for the betterment of India. They're all abroad and doing work for americas and help India in no way. They're successful, but we need not use these people as role models. THey're bad role models actually, leading to brain-drain and also bad western culture amongst us.

Dear Harru, rebel,

This is your 1st comment on the blog perhaps. thanks. The system in India is so corrupt, full of red-tapism, lethargy, bribe and what not. I have a friend In USA who came to ludhiana for a project of approx. 20 crores. It was a high-tech project and only love for his country, brought him to india, otherwise he was interested in Vietnam as the Vietnamese Govt. was giving dirt cheap land, incentives and soft loans too, but he still preferred India. After going from door to door for about 6 months, he was so frustrated by corruption in bureacracy, high land prices with no incentives. He left India and put up the same project in Vietnam in record 8 months time. He is so happy from Vietnam, that he has told his friends, not to ever think of India and he has been instrumental in bringing his friends to Vietnam instead of India. Who lost ? India lost, just because of corrupt bureacracy and politicians. Tell me, who will be interested to put up a project in India, if this is the case. Regarding jobs, same is the case in India. Working conditions are so good abroad, that no Indian wants to take up a job in india. But after the recession in the west reverse brain-drain has started and lot of Indians are getting back to India, even at lower pay scales, because you never know in west, while you go next morning to your office, a pink slip may be lying on your table. But in India, things are still better off. Actual recession is still to come to india.
