SADHVI ARREST-- VOTE BANK POLITICS OF CONGRESS

Unbashed admirers of the Congress are jumping in glee, certain that the party has turned the corner on its " soft-on-terror " problem. They beleive that the alleged involvement of a Hindu outfit, a sadhvi with links to the Sangh Parivar and an army official in the recent revenge attacks is enough to put all those who have been attacking the Manmohan Singh govt's inability to handle islamic terrorists on the defensive.

The propagandists on the Left-liberal brigade have done a masterful job in creating the perception that the threat from the Hindu groups and people like Lt. Col Srikant Purohit are graver than the threat from radical islamic groups with their yearning and hero-worshipping of Osama Bin Laden. They are feverishly capitalising on every word from the Maharashtra ATS about Purohit and his friends. It's another matter that statements from the very same ATS officials were treated as xenophobic reflexes of an oppressive state machinery when jehadi groups were the objects of their scrutiny.

The Congress and the UPA think that the latest revealations by the ATS are deliciously ripe for the kind of politics that they play. Its leaders are focussing all their attention on the issues in the belief that if they carp often and loudly enough about " Hindu Terror " their critics will not be in a position to seek answers on the govt's handling of islamic terrorism. They are not off the mark as terror outrages by jehadis do not even find small mention in newspaper columns these days.

The perception that aggressive steps against jehadi terror would lead to Muslim alienation has been prompting the govt. not to recognise the enemy. The political ambience created by Digvijay Singh's, Lalu Yadav's and Ram Vilas Paswan's--- this much celebrated of politicians are known for not uttering a clear word against jehadi terror.

The political parties so singularly driven by votebank politics that they seem to be incapable of recognising the dangers posed by this propoganda. The police-loathing crowd's backing for the Maharastra ATS is not borne out of conviction. In Batla House, Azamgarh and Malegaon itself, the same mob did everything to undercut police, it's morale and mission.

In conclusion, the Congress and its allies are playing a dangerous game of alienating Hindus from the mainstream. The sympathy of hindus is at all time high for Sadhvi and Lt. Col. Purohit. By playing a dangerous game, Congress is dividing Hindus and Muslims like never before. Govt. must not forget, that it should never play with the emotions of the majority community as it leads to more destruction and backlash.

Dear Vaneet,

All your articles during the last week are great and mind-boggling.
Yes! I also think so (about vote-bank politics) because of the way the whole episode is being handled, and, with such speed and media coverage and trying to indict any one with some kind of attachment to Hindutva supporters, who at one time or the other may have spoken against terrorists, not necessarily with intended malice to all Muslims, but against the terrorists, who happened to be muslims and linked to ISI, as well! The revival of "Abhinav Bharat" may also have been made to fight against the alarming menace of terrorism and to finally work out a strategy to target the very source of terror, by educating the masses and definitely not by targetting the Indian Muslims in General. Every concerned citizen, irrespective of caste, creed, religion or region, in my opinion, should be thinking likewise and contribute towards a workable strategy to end terrorism, which achieves nothing good for any one but brings death and misery to a few and unseen fear alround. But the Govt. of the day and concerned authorities, influenced by the dirty, corrupt and self-serving politicians, seem to be showing alarming efficieny to crack a terror act, which in some or the other way, even if remotely, connects the so called Hindutva supporters (read BJP and allied politically oriented organisations, generally), while, not resolving, or willing to resolve, earlier and very grave acts of terror. This kind of biased and malicious dealing definitely influences one to think of the whole episode as a conspiracy hatched by the Congress in view of the ensuing Assy and Parliamentary polls. By trying to indict retired/serving Defence personnel and the Sadhvi and other important people, they are only adding salt and pepper, along with PPK(pickles, pappad, kuchumber)to the conspiracy to fool the general public to believe their nefarious designs. (Don't be surprised if you and me are also targetted to link us to some friends, who may be linked to known friends of the alleged people so far) if some of the perpetrators of the conspiracy read this blog!).Ironically, the larger media too seems to be dancing to their tunes, throwing their own investigative journalism to the winds(Is it deliberate?). I think it is high time to take note of who is controlling the larger media houses in the country and whether a larger conspiracy is involved to rule India! I would be grateful if you could strongly take up this point for discussion during the forum you are attending on 18th Nov. All the best for the same.

Dear Cdr Khilari,

Thanks for your much awaited comments. Yes, it is a big conspiracy to malign majority community and to appease minority community. Congress is forgetting, that if they keep on harping and torturing sadhvi and Lt. Col. Purohit, the sympathy of the majority community will be at all time high for the people, who have been falsely arrested. I think, whatever happens, happens for good. Majority community would not have reacted in a sympathetic manner, had this issue, not blown up out of proportion. Congress is digging its own grave, without realising the turmoil going on in the minds of majority community. They will have to pay the cost during fortcoming elections. Now your point, who controls the media, i am sending you some classified information by an email. I am just trying to authenticate, whether that info is correct from my own sources. Truth will come out very shortly.
