MORAL POLICING- NOT ALLOWED
On 25th January a pub in Mangalore was attacked by members of Sri Ram Sena in the name of Moral policing. Girls were being hit brutally by these men who called themselves the crusaders of the Hindu faith.
I feel so much pain and helplessness when I see acts of rage against women being flaunted right on my face.
Moral policing! Or goondaism in the name of it.…
They are goondas, who are giving bad name to hindus. Hindu philosophy does not teach violence, specially against women.
This world has advanced a lot. Maybe a lot more and a lot faster for some to even comprehend. But just because we do not understand it or cannot catch upto it does not give us any right to condemn it. And certainly not in this manner. When will the men of this nation understand that the traditional sanctity of our country is as much a man’s responsibility as a woman’s.
Women in this country have faced a lot. And it gives me chillers to see that it would take us generations to give women their due respect in this society.
The so called Sri ram sena members are outright hooligans, whose agenda is nothing but gaining political presence. Be it rioting in the name of Islam or forced conversions or mere goondaism in the name of moral policing. These disoriented youth do not realise that they are being played upon as pawns by hard core political pimps who want to gain attention. They are the people who defeat the Hindu cause, which stands for peace and non-violence.
And as per the survey by a leading German Magazine, Hindus have not waged war against any other country for last 1000 years. How can they can be called hindus ?
Its such a forbidden crime to even hit a cow in hindu religion and even shoo away a cow. But when I saw these guys hitting and beating up women today, I was ashamed to be called a hindu.
Its such a pleasure for some to see their wife, mother, sister and daughters to be oppressed. To be mum and never express. To be alive and only procreate. Such hooligans are nothing but Talibans without the turbans!!!
Its such a shame that we are in the times of India having its first even woman president and the women in the country still have to face such attrocities!

I share your grief! When ever I think of projecting the Hindu culture as better than all races of the world, because it is really true, such stupid incidents in the name of Hindu ideology crop up, frustratingly. But, much of your apt reaction seems to be influenced by what has been reported by the media, which is highly mischievious, has its own agenda and highly influenced and biased with a larger than noticed aim, for as I wish to think that even the mis-guided, emotional and incited Hindu youths would not have attacked the girls, but would have tried their best to dissuade boys from having fun, not easily accessible to themselves!. The Chief Minister of Karnataka should order a just enquiry in to the whole episode and make specimens of the perpetrators by utilising the best of the available legal ways to punish them, all involvede, heavily to avoid future exploitations of the kind for selfish propaganda.

Raj, I agree with your point of view, that such hooligans should be punished severly and be taught a lesson, not to repeat such kind of incident. It gives bad name to a religion which is most open and is a way of life. Nobody has the right to take law in his own hands.
Cdr Khilari, My views are not influenced by the media, as i am aware of media's agenda. My view is,. no religion in this world allows this kind of hooliganism. Who has given them the right to " purify " people ? We are a democracy and every individual he or she has the right to live his/her life, the way, one wants to. Specially hindu religion does not allow violence, that too towards women who are at par with men in all respects.

Dear Swabhiman,
I am a hindu but i do not endorse goondaism, like Shree Ram Krisna sene, did in Mangalore. My religion does not teach me to attack girls or for that matter anyone. Yes, I am against injustices caused to hindus. But please ask such goondas to stop this nonsense and goondaism in the name of Hindutva. These people are maligning Hindus.
