LIVE FOR TODAY

Some of us may think that we have no bad habits because we do not smoke or drink. We may think that we do everything perfectly right. But we all have a secret mental addiction. That addiction leads us into doing all kinds of things. In fact, it prevents us from doing many things.

We are addicted to postponing every action. We have acquired the taste of postponing every task. We have created a mindset which allows us to put off everything. Yes, that is our secret addiction.

There are many things which we say, we shall do that tomorrow. Tomorrow becomes another tomorrow, continues to grow. Today never comes.

The present moment is not a reality to many of us. The speculative future seems to be our reality.

This addiction has a simple cure. Live this moment now. Live in the here and now. Our future is in the present moment. What we can not do now, we shall never be able to do anytime.

I am suffering from this problem, do tomorrow what you have to do today! Also, I was thinking to comment tomorrow but this post changed me.

This is not a big problem, but the bigger problem is - One who keeps his mind at any other place while sitting at any place.

Eg. If I sit at the dinner table, I'd think what to write on blog tomorrow. And if I am at the blog, I'd think what I would eat in dinner today! :)

Dear SAURABH,

Thanks. We are all human and we tend to do take things lightly. This is human nature. We escape from doing things today, as we feel we will would do it in a better manner tomorrow. Postponement of everything is quite natural, We have to change our mindset. Pata nahi, KAL HO, NA HO !
